The annual San Francisco Decorator Showcase, also known as Showcase House, is in swing for its 41st year:

The selection of the 2018 Showcase house is at 465 Marina Boulevard, in the heart of San Francisco’s Marina District, marking the first time in Showcase history that the event will be held in the historic neighborhood.  Originally built by architect George McCrea, the 2018 Showcase home is the perfect setting for Showcase visitors and evening parties with large picture windows offering spectacular views of the Bay, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and Marina Green. The sophisticated three-level home boasts four bedrooms, three and one-half baths, a sunken living room, formal dining room and a media room. The gourmet kitchen opens to a spacious family room, which overlooks the tranquil garden. A light-filled center atrium is perfect for mingling and entertaining. The two home office/reading rooms and a rosé lounge complete the beautiful Marina property.

This annual event is a great example of the design talent and aesthetic San Francisco has to offer. It’s also an opportunity to walk through historic San Francisco architecture at its finest.
